SURRENDERED TO A GREATER PURPOSE.

Dear Jay,

"Mike, I'm all over the place."
"Mike, I keep chasing money and can't find it."
"Mike, I feel empty inside, like something is missing."
"Mike, my thoughts are scattered and I should be growing more than I am."

You're not alone.

"Mike, do you have any thoughts on this, any suggestions?"

Amigo, if any of the above comments pertain to you, I've been in your
shoes. Yes, your shoes.
Follow me here.

It's easy for us to go down paths that don't bring out our best.
We get a job we can't stand.
We're in a business we don't enjoy, but we need to make a living.
We have pressures from our environment, people around us, this leads us to
unnecessary self centeredness and short term thinking.

"Mike, I meet people from time to time that don't have these challenges,
can you share with me something they're doing,
that I'm not?"

Yes I will. That's a great question.
If you have a TV or radio on in the background, press mute. If you're in an
office, shut the door, this is important.
Look at an Edison, Oprah Winfrey, Tiger Woods, Tony Robbins, Mozart,
Napoleon Hill, Spielberg, what do they all have in common?

Write this down.

***They've SURRENDERED TO A GREATER PURPOSE.

Read that again.

Before we go on, read these quotes.

Helen Keller:
Many people have a wrong idea of what constitutes true happiness. It is
not attained through self-gratification, but
through fidelity to a worthy purpose.

Robert Byrne:
The purpose of life is a life of purpose.

Victor Frankl:
What man actually needs is not a tensionless state but rather the striving
and struggling for some goal worthy of him. What he needs is not the
discharge of tension at any cost, but the call of a potential meaning
waiting to be fulfilled by him.

***Purpose.
Here's a quote from James Allen's classic book 'As A Man Thinketh'.
"Until thought is linked with purpose there is no intelligent
accomplishment. They who have no central purpose in their
life fall easy prey to worries, fears, troubles, and self pityings, all of
which are indications of weakness, which
lead, just as surely as deliberately planned sins, to failure, unhappiness,
and loss, for weakness cannot persist
in a power evolving universe."

***A Great purpose.
What do you want to accomplish in your life?

Who do you want to serve?

Is your PURPOSE written down, do you read it daily?
Let your purpose DRIVE you through your life.
Make it the focus of your thoughts.
Watch scatterdness and jumping from opportunity to opportunity diminish.
You were born for a GREAT purpose.
It doesn't need to be created, it needs to be discovered.
Purpose gives you aim, gives you meaning, hands you joy.

It might be smart to read this email one more time. It's definitely smart
to spend time on discovering and living your
purpose.
You can (and will) experience more JOY and LIFE than you could ever imagine.

Love Ya! You're The Best!
